I am married and have two wonderful children who are also students at South Grand Prairie High School. I really do love working with students since my high school days and that has been my passion to work and teach students. I’m proud to say that I still feel the same passion that I felt in my younger days. I still get really excited and thrilled when students are progressing and excited about learning. I see teaching as a gift that I’m able to have the honor to touch so many lives and give a gift of knowledge that will hopefully grow and last for a lifetime. Description of my position: A literacy strategist is an educator who focuses on helping students of all ages to read and write and who develops and researches activities designed to improve students' skills in all aspects of the language arts. A literacy strategist works hand in hand with other educators to identify students with problems and to give them the extra attention and coaching needed to get the students on an equal footing with their peers | |
