I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to Dallas in December of 2001.  My Bachelor's degree is from Louisiana State University (LSU), where I majored in Interior Design. In May 2010, I earned my first Master's degree in Education from Texas Woman's University (TWU).  I will graduate in August 2014 from TWU, where I will earn a Master's Degree in Library Science.
Substituting in Dallas for over 4 years, opened my eyes to the career I truly wanted.  I substituted in Plano ISD,  Forney ISD, and Grand Prairie ISD. While subbing in Grand Prairie ISD for over two years, I was fortunate to sub in a Special Education class. The students in the Special Ed classes were special to me and enforced my desire to obtain my Special Education certification; which I earned in October of 2012.
Since I have been in Grand Prairie, I have enjoyed working in PPCD; 3 and 4 year olds.  Since taking over the role of PPCD teacher at Garcia, I am constantly learning something new everyday. How wonderful to see students apply their new knowldge into their lives and be successful. We, the paras and I, would like to extend and invitation to you, the parents, to work along side us in your child's education.
Thank you, students, parents, and staff, for welcoming me into the Garcia family with open arms.   I look forward to helping our students succeed now and in the future.
