Name: Christopher Alello
I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I moved to Dallas in December of 2001. I have a Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Design. I obtained my first Master's degree in Education in May 2010. I am currently working on a second Master's degree in Library Science and should graduate in December 2013.
I have been a substitute teacher in Dallas for the past 4 years. I have subbed in Plano, Forney and Grand Prairie the last 2 years. I obtained my Special Education certification in October of 2012.
I subbed in PPCD for 7 weeks in Dallas before moving to the Grand Prairie distrcit. Since I have been in Grand Prairie, I have enjoyed all of it so far. Since taking over the role of PPCD teacher at Garcia, I am constantly learning something new everyday. In this role, I want to help my students become independent in their learning of new skills that relate to their daily learning needs and functions. I want my students to continue to learn new things and become successful. As their teacher, with the help of my paras, I want to extend and invitation to you, the parents. I would like to have your help and support in working together towards the same goals for your child. As we work together, we can help our students grow, learn new skills, follow routines that are structured, and become independent in their daily learning and functions. Thank you for welcoming me into the Garcia family with open arms. I look forward to helping our students succeed now and in the future at Garcia.
