GPISD is in the final months of Project STOP (Student Testing Ongoing Process), a Federal grant to initiate random drug testing to students in grades 6-12 as a tool to prevent drug use and assist drug-affected students in accessing drug education, counseling, and/or treatment. Random drug testing applies to those students who participate in competitive athletics and extracurricular activities.
Voluntary random drug test is available to all students with parent consent.
